Music to my ears

A great combination is being served daily, in fact every day but Christmas, at the Rise N Shine Diner in Syracuse.

It seems owner Pete Hennessey received a donated jukebox that longtime customers who also happen to be longtime musicians filled with music from 15 Syracuse bands.

So you can get your eggs over easy with a side of “Heat Wave” by local band The Seven or a stack of pancakes topped with a tune by Jimmy Cavallo and the Houserockers.

This is another way that locally owned restaurants bring out the flavor of the city, town, village in which they are located. Groovy, right? You bet.

So meander  your way to a place that doesn’t look — or sound — like any other place in any other city.  You’re usually in for a rewarding experience.
