Say goodnight, Irene, and let us dry out here in CNY

What a difference a day can make. The top photo was taken on Larkin Road Saturday morning. We were on our way to the Beaver Den diner in Brookfield when we came across this wonderful thick fog in the hills near Route 12. Made us pause for a moment.

This next photo was taken at Colgate University at 11:30 Sunday, in the midst of our confrontation with Hurricane Irene. A mild confrontation, relatively and thankfully speaking, but heavy rains and strong winds for a while.  We hope nobody was too badly affected by the hurricane turned tropical storm. I’m sure you’ll join me in saying,  Goodnight, Irene.
